Just got my copy of Routis 2004. It is great. Saw it on ebay here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...719206752&rd=1 Sort of ticked me off. I got mine last week for $79.95 PLUS shipping. Oh Well!!

Is there a demo out there for either one of these programs? I like the 3d map environment. I am wanting to try it out. I don't want to go and spend $100+ on the thing if I'm not going to like it better than what I have now.

there is no demo unless someone makes one themselves.
IGuidance has some Pocket PC screenshots (identical to the PC version) here:

They both look identical to PocketNav which I have been very happy with on both my PDA and my Laptop.
I know, it looks great! But, I'm not going to shell out 100 bones for something I don't know if I will like or not. Hell, I was fighting buying a Xenarc TS for $430. Sheesh. Can anyone help me out? I have S&A 2005. It's great, but not 3D.![]()
This isn't a pirate site.
I personally use iGuidance v2, and it is the best guidance package I've used so far. I think you'll hear the same opinion from many others. It has paid for itself many times over, and I mean, geez... $100 for a full guidance package is not exactly pricey. I like to support companies that produce good products.

I am in no way saying I would not support the company by buying the product. As the title states I am looking for a Demo of the program to try out. I would gladly buy the software (and I have the money right now) if the company could guarentee I would like it with a full refund if I returned the software, but that does not happen in the software world. I'm not stupid, it would be ludacris for them to do that.Originally Posted by jpelzer

As someone who has bought and paid for a lot of software, there is very little control the end user has other than research. Without a demo, you just have to hope someone has an in depth review of the product, or roll the dice. There is a lot of poorly written, half assed code out there.
I bought Iguidance, and though it is a commercial product, I had a good deal of trouble installing it. I had to manually enter some reg keys to get it to work, and frankly, I don't like it much. So I blew $100 on software that I can't return, and that's pretty much tough luck for me.
No, it's not extremely expensive, but I guess I don't like the position we're in as consumers. Good god, I've spent enough money on this car computer- I hate to throw another $100 as fodder.
Actually... I work for Symantec, and we offer full refunds. Might be worth actually asking the company before assuming, you never know.Originally Posted by voidunknown
