    Clarion AutoPC GPS unit w/PC?

I have a clarion joyride/autopc GPS unit. I was wondering if it would work as a GPS unit on my pc? It hooks up through a ps2 adapter. Can i use it somehow? Thanks

I used to have a AutoPC and I think the little GPS unit is just an external antenna.

If it's only a antenna and not a "complete receiver" you can not use it for just GPS. You'd need a GPS receiver with external antenna adapter. Then you would have to hack the antenna to plug into the adapter for the GPS. I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble (certainly wouldn't be to me). I suggest just getting a new unit. I have a BU-303 USB GPS receiver I ordered off ebay. Works great.
