    OK, I'm officially stupid... I have Navigator installed, but no option to switch modes... Even the help doesnt mention anything like that... it lets me see data, locks, etc, but not change mode....

    Got it to work on a different computer!

    Finally! Sirf mode seems to be much better for me, and quicker to update, better locks, etc... I'm really liking this much more now!

    Good to hear that you got it to work, hope our posts were helpful. What software did you use it with?

    DAMN iGuidance, why can't it use SIRF!!!

    Ops, sorry, forgot to post detailes....

    I opened sirfdemo, on my laptop, indoors, chose the com port, and 4800 baud in the connection settings. Then, I chose "open data source", then clicked "Switch to SiRF mode" in the action menu.

    then it just worked....
