<> Computer based GPS (USB, Serial, BlueTooth, etc) require a PC to sit between the GPS unit and the monitor.
Sorry for the newbie question.Alright i have a screen from an overhead monitor without touchscreen with a/v inputs, is there a gps unit that will plug into the screen through the a/v cables? If there is, can you show me some examples of this such unit?
Thank you so much for the help!,

Re: Audiovox - The screens are included...are regular TFT and not VGA and use a proprietary connector from what I can tell. It may be possible to hack the cable to use a regular RCA inpu on another monitor...but I doubt the qualuty of the results. I don't see it using a touchscreen VGA. I doubt it can be bought without the screen. Expensive too...cheaper to build a car PC with navigation.
EPoX mATX SocketA w/onboard Geforce4MX / 512MB PC2700 / AthlonXP 1600
Lilliput / DVDrom / Opus 150W / WD 3.5" 160GB / SB Audigy NX
XP home / Road Runner / iGuidance 4.0
This "prop connector" is my problem. The AudioVox is exactly the same unit as the VDO Dayton unit. I need to lose the sat nav connector and install a vga type. It looks as though I will be installing a dual system with VDO sat Nav, Alpine DVD through RCA and PC through VGA and the sound through the PC to a new Alpine HU.
I'll post on my poject how it works
