I guess it is time for me to mount it in the car. DAMN it. I wonder if you just silicone around the seems, that actuallly should water proof it.

yep definately sucks... i was thinking it was waterproof as it all looked sealed and they have stuck a magnet on it for ourselves to stick on the car roof

you can try and silicone it but i'm not risking it again.

Did it ever claim to be waterproof? My Rayming TN-200 says that it's waterproof, and I can't get a good lock unless it's outside of the car (through rain and snow), and I don't want this to happen to me!

I am a new member for the BU-303 rusty club too... stopped getting a good lock open it up and surprise standing water and rust everywhere. Just bought a 2nd one opened it up and silconed the surrounding bevel, screw holes, cord insert and closed her up to see how she will fair weather wise.

I've posted this on several other threads where people didn't beleive me when I said the BU-303 was water proof. Thanks for the pics. Now I'll post a link to this thread as proof.

If you're interested, although I haven't tried this yet, here is a something you can try.
