Thread: Anyone experiencing GPS errors since tsunami?

    The tsunami didn't move anything except people and houses.

    Now the earthquake that caused it moved some things a little.

    Wouldn't the US military or whoever runs GPS just re-calibrate the GPS satellites slightly to counter-act the change if any?

    Or would GPS still give you an accurate reading... And it would be just the maps that were now in the 'wrong place'

    Well i heard that the Earth was so thrown off it's axis that we are actually spiralling towards the sun and only have 23years, 14days, 3 hours left.......

    True though it's doubtful the Earth's collision coarse with the Sun will have much to do with it.

    Actually, the day after I started this post I saw on NBC Nightly News that a US Navy ship got confused because the shoreline in Indonesia was not where it was supposed to be according to GPS. I guess that was more of a map issue than a satellite issue

    If you saw the pictures of the coast line, you'd understand. Some places are just not there. At all.
