I'm not sure I understand... ANY receiver should work equally well just about anywhere on Earth -- it's the premise being GPS. The issue is not the receiver, but the software itself. If it doesn't come with decent maps for your location, then it's gonna suck.

I'm not sure how detailed the maps for MS Streets are for Canada, but I do have the software. If you want me to check out a particular area and take a screenshot or something, let me know.

    Hey Viguera:

I got MS S&T 2005, cant figure out how to make it interactive for directions, or is it even possible using MS S&T 05 ? (Have it connected to an external gos that tracks my location just fine)
By interactive I mean for it to give me directions for a certain location ? Like make a left turn after 0.25 miles etc ? Can you share your experience ,
    thanks

    jay

From what I understand MS S&T 2005 does not have voice prompts.

S&T does not have voice prompts, and I don't believe it has big arrows pointing which way you should go either, which is probably why everyone prefers Routis, iGuidance, D3, Copilot, etc.

Edit: I was OK in the beginning with following the green line in S&T. It even led me to a White Castle once =)

thanks for the input, helps a lot to reach the conclusion that S&T is not the right thing i want.
Now the question is which one do i try next, dont want to end up spending 200 on the software..
