It got wet. Open it up, dry it out good. Let it sit for a few days. Might start working again.

My BU-303 has started playing up. After about 15 mins perfect operation the LED stops flashing and just gives out a constant dim light, then no data is tranmitted (the USB device is still there, just no data). I've tried in on 2 PCs now with the same result many times.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks,
Dave.

Thanks,
I never used it outside the car and there was no visible water inside. I thought it might be an over-heating problem. I powered it up out of the case and it worked ok. I left it powered up for about 24 hours and put it back in the case and now it's ok. Maybe it had got some condensation it it?
Interesting. Where were you using it, if I may ask. Did you leave it outside overnight? I'm looking to waterproof mine and I'm hoping I don't have probs with condensations.
The reason I jumped so quick is that's been the prob with many BU-303s. Same symptoms.
Good luck.

Hi carpcnoobie,
I would just have it on the top of the passenger door, just under the window; the magnet sticks quite well there. I never left it in the car overnight, it would be stored indoors but in a room that doesn't have much heating.
Also I can remember that it first failed when I took it out of that environment and put it in the car on a cold morning.
Anyhow I hope it was a condensation problem and that's the end of it. If it happens again I might look at sealing the case which doesn't look that difficult.
