See my post above.
My USB GPS is also on a virtual com port and GPS Gate works perfectly.
I've been happily sharing to 3 apps on 3 different com ports simultaneously for the last 6 months without a problem.![]()
I have a USB GPS which creates a virtual com port, which I'd like to share.. Xport does not work with virtual ports, any ideas?

or just look for the little dot next to COM64. If you don't see it, compass ain't working. Open the compass config and close it again. Might work.
I think the problem is that you only install Xport2. No it won't work by itself. You have to install Compass as well. Together, these 2 work wonder.Originally Posted by Frankino

gpsgate will do the trick i have done it allready, i have a garmin 18 reciver and i ran steets and trips and nRoute at the same time,
Maybe you guys can help me out... I just installed xport3,
My BU303 is installed on com7. Using xport, I split it to com8 & com9.
Iguidance works with the newly created com port, but destinator 2 does not... It keeps saying "com port busy" and does not give me the option to change the com port in the settings (the selections are greyed out...
Any ideas?
is dest2 set to use nmea or sirf? it should be set to nmea..
Do you see a dot by the COM port in XPort? That means it's really in use. If you do, just close the other GPS apps until it goes away and try again. If you don't then maybe Destinator is trying to open the real GPS port. I remember it was hard to set the COM port. I think I set it in Destinator.ini
