This is a repost from the mac-car sight, but figured I'd put it here too:
I know there was already a post about possibility of google GPS, and thsi might not be the right place, but this is slightly different.
Some people seemed optimistic about google gps possiblity, but google has never really developed "products" like this. They make they're money from their basic software and ads. But on their site you can submit business proposals. I think if someone has the experience and know-how, it would be awesome to use their awesome maps (with lots of numbers, listings, etc. already in) for a good gps solution. This would make a mac mini carputer system much more desirable if it finally had a great, working gps that everyone says is non-existent in aftermarket software. I have no idea how easy/doable this would be if someone could get google's approval, but it seems like an idea worth exploring.
