Thread: GPS Tracker - Stop your car being stolen

Ok it's good friday and crap is on the tv's :P

So i might start the project today

Here are a some pics of it and as you can see there is a ****load of componets to solder in lucky for me the chips are pre programed

Also I have a old webcam which does 640 x 680 and powers on and off by power and is very small when taken out of it's case so i might use a relay to trigger the cam to take a pic altho light would be needed so i'll think about that later as an option

for getting light for the camera you could use a IR led so that the camera see the area light up and not the person

Yes i know that but space is an issue i'll think about the camera thing later

Ok i've been working on it for a few hours and im a little over half way

here's a pic of it so far

I'm gonna stop for now as the solder has given me a headache lol

Haha, as I type I have just actually finished taking pictures for the "how to make a PCB" tutorial. Its almost 7am and still working on it

is this to make a specific PCB or is it just a guide on making your own?

Ok I just finished the kit but i have 2 problems

1 led is missing so im gonna go get it tomorrow

There is 1 part thats not in the instructions at all and there is nowere it could go on the board so i have no idea what it's in there for.

Hopefully this damn thing will work took me ages to finish it and i took care coldering it just hope the damn thing works otherwise it's $50 down the drain

Now i need to see if i can get the data cable for the phone somewere tomorrow.....

Its a generic tutorial, its actually the relay card everybody is dying for
