    Fooling the GPS software

Hello all.. I have a copy of Magellan Streets and tracks which requires a Magellan PC cable. Now I have a USB mouse antenna which uses a serial to usb driver and gives it a com port however the magellan software won't pick this up. It obviously needs it's own brand of antenna. What I want to know is there a way to fool the program into thinking the antenna is a Magellan one or will this not work because it's a different type of antenna..

    Thanks for any comments.

Also curious if this is possible as well..

Got the BU303 from ebay about 9 months ago and failed with finding suitable software (apart from the utility on the driver Cd!)

I deally after something which will read out navigation instructions with map of Melbourne, etc.. Have tried friends copies of DiscoverAus (Magellan), and I think a garmin one as well - Even though my USB Receiver is NMEA compliant, these software seem to want to have their hardware only..
