Would anyone happen to know the voltage of the internal battery on the Globalsat Bt308?

I got it as a Christmas gift and used it once or twice. Since then it has sat in my car and will not power up after 24 hours of charging. The yellow charge indicator is the only light I can get out of it.

I'm assuming the battery croaked. I'd like to just directly wire the battery connecter to a DC source, but there are no markings whatsoever on the damn thing.

I've opened it, but the battery is outputting no voltage. There is no labeling on it either.

My plan is to just supply whatever voltage the battery would and leave the power switch on. This would kill 2 birds, I was planning on modifying the power switch anyway to power on with the Opus.

Don't the BT308's come with an AC adapter for recharging them from the mains?

What voltage is that giving out?

Just found out that the AC adapter with the BT308 is 5V 1.4A so you could just run 5V to it from your opus.

Just realized what I did..

I was in a rush and cut the auto adapter then soldered it to a 12v source. That was the first thing I did which must have killed the damn thing.

Thats what I get for not being careful, one dead BT gps. lol

Time to get a cheap USB job.
