    what antenna are you using?
    its connected to a Hirschmann 918 VFlex Tri band Radio/GPS/Cellular antenna.

    I get 13 I am on the moon and have my navilock on the top of my spacesuit helmet!

    You wouldn't get any sats up there... the signal is pointed the wrong way

    Yep, definitely around 8-10. Haven't ever reached 12 yet.

    Finally got my Rayming MR-350 working It sits on my apartment's window ledge now with 1/2 of hemisphere blocked by my house and more than 1/4 blocked by trees and another house. Gets between 6 and 8 "green" satellites in SiRFDemo, about 1/2 of them from blocked space. Is it hot or not?

    Hehe, in theory the signal could bounce of the Earth and be received even on the moon You'd need a good antenna / receiver, though

    It sits right inside where you see it sitting now and gets all 12. The PDA audibly tells me how many feet until my next turn, when i get to my destination, speed limit advisor, blah blah blah. Plus its portable too...
    And with all those wires hanging around your nicely modded Imp it makes you look like a real dork
