It does have alot to offer, but I really think they should work on getting the basic working really well first.
You know it always make me wonder how the TOMTOM on PDA (low power) runs much more effectively that some of the GPS apps on PC (high power).
My point is that D3 never really got the basics right... MapMonkey and Freedrive did... if you see where I am going with that...

For a brief moment I actually had the cursor on the "Buy" button, but right now I'm very, very, happy that I decided to try out the "demo" version first.
It may be feature packed, but it's a resource hog and the interface sucks.

First of all, their own samples don't work
But the whole point of the SDK is to control the desktop program, they could have used sendkeys, but they made an "SDK".
This wouldn't have been a very big problem if you could get rid of all the menues and only use the navigation screen, but so far I haven't been able to do that, as you still have some menues and the routing info.

Have you tried signing up to their beta program ? At first I wasn't goint to bother as I think they're more into the hand held units rather than the desktop version.
My trusty BU-303 descided to take a vacation so I haven't had the possibility to test the software with a GPS connected, but I ordered a TMC enabled GPS the other day and hopefully I'll get it today. What I'm mostly curious about is if it is possible to route to a point without entering both your starting point and destination.
Right now it looks like Route 66 / Auto Route / MapPoint with TMC and a slightly worse interface
Too bad really, it has potential... imagine if the SDK was a _real_ SDK and if the skinning module for PPC also worked on the desktop version
But, to make a long story short.... I signed up for the Beta program and hopefully they'll accept it.

Temporary solution until I can figure out how to combine the RDS/TMC stream with the GPS stream on a OEM module.
Strange that no OEM module seem to have TMC support.
