have no idea whats the best, but i use iGuidance
Ive tried StreetAtlas, MS Streets2005, Destinater but i didnt like any of them or there were deal breaker issues with each one.
I hear CoPiolot is really good, havent tried it yet but i want to.
i have read about them all but since this sight is mutli-national, its hard tofigure out what a good program is for the states. when i look on enay for destinater 3, its all great Britian.
so, what seem to be the top 2 favorites here in the states that everyone is using. (acknowledging that its all subjective, of course)

So far I'm mostly happy with CoPilot 8 for laptop. Some of the data is out of date but they are getting there updates from USGS. So far I haven't taken a 600 Mile trip yet but hopefully will be doing that in a month.
The Voice Nav is great from what I have seen. The routing has some smaller issues (Routing you around the block to get to your destination).
They only update the maps once a year (Aug/Sep) timeframe when they release a new version of the application.
By no means is this a go out and buy software package but for true car navigation I would say its the best that I have tried. (And no I'm not going to run a emulator to run a Windows Mobile Application).
