mappoint / streets and trips shows most political boundaries. The streets it labels with names though depend on your zoom.
Does anyone know of GPS/Mapping software that shows the city limits in the map display? It strikes me that this would be very handy. I've wished I had it for a while now. I would even settle for a dot with the name of the city next to it.
I use Routis and when you zoom out to see where the heck you are, you can't tell. New York City could be over the next hill, but you'd never know from the Routis display. The darn software doesn't even label all of the roads in view. You can zoom out to the point that all you can see are interstates/highways and some aren't even numbered! What good is that? Am I supposed to know where all of these roads are? If I did, I wouldn't need the software!!
OK. That turned into a mini-rant, but I feel better now.![]()
