IS it a BU-303 by any chance?
if so do a search on the forum for it![]()
K, and I know it might be strange, but has anything else changed in the car. Modifications, Tint, anything. (I mention tint cause someone recently posted a similar problem, and then realized that he tinted the windows the same time he started having problems) Did anything else change, say went from a DC-DC PS to inverter, or vica versa?

My gps is the pharos 360, not the bub. There are no other modifications to the car.
In terms of the interference, would plexiglassing an enclosure prevent interference? There's no way i wanna spend the money for those itx cases
Can I suggest you totally cover the computer case with aluminum foil. See if that improves the signal of the GPS. Cover as much of it as you can, and try not to leave large open spots.Originally Posted by Sonicxtacy02
That always worked for my patients when they were hearing voices or were recieving messages from outerspace.
Also, are you using DC-DC PS, or an inverter?

be very careful with the aluminum stuff!!!!!! If you make contact between two parts of the computer that shouldnt have a contact....welll...boom! (not a big one most likely just a frying of your mobo)...
Is it viable to take the carpc away 1 or 2 meters, or put it in the trunk again? Try it...
Try holding the GPS reciever outside the window, letting it sit on your car's roof... test it all, most likely something is interfering with the signal, it might be an amp, alarm system or other electronic FROM THE CAR itself, that is now near the usb cable, sending interference up the cable that disrupts the GPS signal on those cheap antenna in the usb gpss...Or you could bite the bullet and go with OEM gps!
I did and I am never going back!

Any ideas for putting a PC in this? :)

And of course, it could be almost anything. I know you said you moved the cable and all, but if the source is close to the computer, no matter where your cable goes, the connector is always at the computer, and therefore, never moves all that far from the interfernce source.
If you can move the computer somewhere, and test it there, that would be a good idea.
