    Undertow Software's MapOCX Pro SDK

For those who don't know, for my day job, I work for a mass property appraisal company (yep, we're the ones that go around to every house and reappraise the entire county or city at one time every few years.)

I came across this to use for an uncomming project: http://chicagomap.com/MapOCXPro/MapOCXPro.htm

It looks kinda like Destinator but I discussed some of the routing problems I've had with Destinator/Map Monkey (like being told to exit the interstate and then get right back on.) and they said it definately doesn't have those problems - we'll see though.

Anyways, I'll probably mock something up for my car, but I was wondering if anyone has heard of MapOCX. I bought the SDK for $450 and will have it next week. There is a per seat license cost of $120 after an application is written with it.

Expensive? Well, it's a buisness expense and we're looking for functionality. Besides if you've looked at GIS application in the market, $450 up front and $120/seat is a STEAL! We were quoted over $11,000 for the application I'm developing with a per seat cost of $3000!

Yeah fromPlanetBob is from Titan A.E. - I needed a username on a site once and all mine were taken and I just watched Titan A.E. and I tried it. It's odd and isn't used most places!
