The number of units they are likely to sell is tiny compared to their other products so your petition is not going to suddenly make it worth it to them.
If you look at the price of the pda/mobile versions you'll see that even if they did make a version for PC it wouldn't be very cheap either.
Rather than waste time with this, why not help make a decent alternative?
Well, you should all give up on TomTom. I'm filing suit against them for copyright infringement. I have the name Tom copyrighted, and they used it twice. So they're going to have to pay!Muhahahahahaha!!!

So far:
M10000 Nehemiah, 1Gb RAM, Opus 90w PS, Buffalo Tech WLI2-USB2-G54, 160 Gb HDD, GlobalSat BU-353 GPS, iGuidance, Zippy EL-610, Panasonic CW8123B Slim Slot CDRW/DVD, 10" Lilliput, Sony XA-300, Sony CDX-MP30 Head, OBD-II
Nothing ventured nothing gained, it doesn't hurt to send them an email or sign a petition. I also created a thread about a multiple platform opensource GPS nav solution that is currently out, but that thread received luke warm reviews as the software still needs work and is incomplete. If you wish to contribute to that project I can get you the link to their opensource site.Originally Posted by ElKeeed
Since I installed Tomtom on my phone, i never used my car pc's navigation again. Although I spent to much time and effort getting map monkey to work and solving all GPS usb issues. TomTom is really good, i wish i could have this embedded with RR or Frodo player. Looking forward for a PC version or some pocket pc emulator
whoa i started this thread over a year and a half ago. I never did get around to making that online petition. I doubt it'd have much of an effect anyway, but if anyone would like to start it go ahead. In the mean time I'm happy using TomTom5 on my PPC for the time being.
There is a PPC emulator available - the details are on here somewhere.
Just look here:
TomTom How To (PocketPC Emulator)
And it even work on Vista (32-Bit & 64-Bit)
