I'm looking to hook a GPS receiver to my car pc.Whats a good/cheap gps receiver i can get for my car pc?
Also, i'd like to know what software is good, obviously one that brings out new maps every year or so of europe, especially Spain.
Thanks a lot!!

have you ever tried to find something?
99.9% of the time someone else knows the answer and can tell you in minutes of posting where a search could take hours
Although for such simple questions I have to agree, GOOGLE!
GPS is also very subjective, I have had two, one was great everywhere even in towns but once it loses signal it takes ages to lock and wont lock at all if above 40 mph, the other only likes strong signal areas but will lock in seconds at 100mph............
Lots of people use the GlobalSat BU303 USB GPS, which is fairly good. I have one and it always gets lock very quickly and keeps lock very well.Originally Posted by ironic
As for software, I use Destinator3 with FreeDrive which works well, but I don't know how often the maps are updated.

If your searches take hours, then you're not doing it right.Originally Posted by lez

As far as GPS, people are generally raving about newer units with the Sirf III chipset.
