Whew. Please post only corrections to the info above, or tips, or further developments!
First of all, this is a summary of the Iguidance 2.0 font size is killing me thread.
Because no one read the damn thread & just posted "Ooooo, send it to me too!!!" it turned from a great thread about optimization to 28 pages of garbage.
Sorry, last outburst from me.
I'm going to summarize the info and then hopefully open it up to further development! All this info is from many helpful members like liquid_smoke, veetid, Nanozic, frodo, Quattro, Marvin Hlavac, and all the others I forgot. None is mine, I'm just summarizing their most excellent work.
The basic theory is that there is an undocumented ini file that you can make, that iGuidance will read. Make this file with your settings, and you can change a great many things such as font text size, road colors, road width, etc. GPSPassion has a great thread that is also dedicated to development on this front. There's some great background info & even more tips.
If you happen to see another file floating around called theme2.ini, the only difference between theme & theme2 is the amount of settings in it. Theme2 has settings which allow you to change geo-features such as body of water, airport, land, etc. iGuidance will not read these files. You need to copy their contents into the original theme.ini file.
The developers of iGuidance have asked not to put the file on forums, so I'm not posting it. So please don't ask me or anyone else for it. You can make your own using info in this post. You have been summarily warned.
While the contents of the file may remain the same, regardless of version, the filename must change for different versions.
Routis: sorry, none of this will work for you. You folks are SOL.
iguidance v1.1: feature not implimented. No ini file will work.
iguidance v2.0: theme.ini *
iguidance v2.0.2: ctheme.ini
iguidance v2.1: ctheme.ini **
iguidance v2.1.1: theme.ini
iguidance v2.1.2: theme.ini
iguidance v2.2: ?
* If you have registered your copy of iGuidance, inavcorp has a download patch for you.
** If you have 2.1, remove these 2 lines from ctheme.ini lest the program crashes:
; map background color (day night)
MBC=255,249,230 0,0,0
Here are step by step instructions on how to get this going:
You won't have a theme.ini in the default directory. To make your own theme.ini file do the following:
0. Make sure you have the "hide file extensions" unchecked through File Explorer
1. Go to this post: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...0&postcount=74
2. Select the contents of the post from the first ; to the last 0
3. Copy the current selection (Edit-> Copy or Ctrl + C)
4. Open notepad and paste from clipboard (Edit -> Paste or Ctrl + V)
5. Save File As theme.ini in the same directory as iguidance.exe. (Be sure to use the appropriate name for your version of iGuidance)
If you just want to download the files,
0. Visit this post: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...&postcount=423
1. Save File As theme.ini in the same directory as iguidance.exe. (Be sure to use the appropriate name for your version of iGuidance)
If you want a very simple file that simply increases street names so they're legible,
0. Make sure you have the "hide file extensions" unchecked through File Explorer
1. Copy the following 2 lines (Edit-> Copy or Ctrl + C):
; street name font size in points @ zoom level
STS=22 22 22 22 22 22 22 22 22 22 22
2. Open notepad and paste from clipboard (Edit -> Paste or Ctrl + V)
3. Save File As theme.ini in the same directory as iguidance.exe. (Be sure to use the appropriate name for your version of iGuidance)
Other notes: Apparently in 2.1, if the color scheme is white or black, you can't change the local road colors. You can in the other 2 schemes though.

In a similar vein, if you guys want to make all the windows look more authentic (more 'car pc navigator' like) you can use reshacker (find it via Google), and then do the following to remove the menu bars. (The window's menu bar used to drag windows... who needs that?)
1) Select the dialog
2) Right click dialog window, and select EDIT DIALOG from the contextual menu.
3) On the bottom left, there is a list. Some items will be highlighted in yellow. Find WS_DLGFRAME and highlight it.
4) Save compile etc.
You can do this for every dialog. They look much more authentic WITHOUT the windows menu bar!

or...
just get 0l33l's iGLaunch.
Also, you can use a magnifier program together to see some of the items bigger too, like the ETA in the bottom right corner. Along with hotkey support (the inventor uses a keyboard instead of a touchscreen) he wrote a program called iGkeys. You can find it here.
gZoom (also known as iGZoom ) is also available. It's here.
Sonicxtacy02 devised a method of incorporating zoom into Roadrunner, which you can read about here.

Nice, you just made life easier for a lot of people.
Just a little correction:
iGuidance v1.1: (I'm pretty sure no *.ini will work)
iGuidance v2.1.2: theme.ini
iNav plans to update their website and 1) let registered users download new *.ini, 2) modify future version of iGuidance application to make it possible for users to force full-route recalculation (as opposed to the current partial-route recalculation) by changes in registry. (This solves "unreasonable" U-turn prompts issue)
Just an FYI, that close zoom tool only works for IgZoom Version 1. You can use my close zoom.exe to close it. Again, you must have autoit for this .exe to work.Originally Posted by Viscouse

(BTW, my server is kinda shaky at times, someone else may wanna host this file)
That bein said... i've actually found a more automated way to launch this with Iguidance from within road runner. Change the code for the gps launch button to this
"GPS||Run;C:\Program Files\iGZoom\iGZoom.exe" (assuming thats where your igzoom is)
Change your exit gps to this
"RunQ;C:\Program Files\Close Zoom\Close Zoom.exe||Exit"
and lastly change your close gps button to this
"RunQ;C:\Program Files\Close Zoom\Close Zoom.exe||Close"
.. and there.. zoom tool turns on and off when you want it to![]()
I wanted to throw this out there for anyone who might know. This is a partial answer to archimense's post.
archimense found a list of all tags that iguidance.exe is reading from theme.ini. I took his list, and updated it a little. Can anyone fill in the rest?

Some more questions.
1. When structuring a theme.ini file, is the order in which commands are placed important? For instance does RPW have to go in front of STS, etc.?
2. Will having a huge ini file slow load times? I'm going to try, but was wondering if anyone already knew.
3. Lastly, are blank lines the same as lines that start with the semicolon? In other words, ignored?
1. No
2. I don't think so
3. Yes
Looking at the list of unknowns, just going by the memory now (I’m driving as we speak): FZL=Feet Zoom Levels, MZL=Meters Zoom Levels. The values specify zoom levels (altitude) you get. There is also the AZLC=Active Zoom Level Count, but every time I attempted to increase its value from the default 11, it would always crash when changing zoom levels.
Thanks Marvin! I have benefitted greatly from your advice & expertise!

In the .skin files. Search for rrskineditor. Its the easiest method to modify a skin file. Your current gps launch code is "GPS". Erase that and replace with the above.Originally Posted by Cheekz185
