u live in the north pole? hah
i have a bu-353 gps antenna and it won't get a fix inside the car. it'll work when i'm sitting outside but when i get inside the car... it'll lose the signal. i tried it on the carputer and on my laptop... same thing. as long as it's inside the car... it'll lose signal completely. also... even when it's outside in the open... it only picks up a maximum of 6 satellites. never more. i've heard of people saying that you should get 10 satellites or something. what's going on?
u live in the north pole? hah
I had issues with signal when i placed the unit on the rear window. I think it maybe something to do with my tint, however when its in the front window i have no issues at all.
Hm Thought this was absolutely goodly ?
But guess not !
But some have problems with tinted windows yes..
Where have you located the GPS unit ?
do you happen to have a xenarc monitor??
i have a 700tsv and it's jamming al gps signal within 1mtr, even a garmin 60cs!! contact with xenarc resulted in nothing.... 'try to adjust refresh rate..'
the gps is placed on the front windshield. still getting really low signal.
no, i don't have a xenarc.
i have a BU-353 Gps..
im in australia, it works 100% it catches 10 satellites inside the car on the rear parcel shelf, and when outside around 12... on the passenger seat i can catch 2 -3 satellites, and i have darkest legal tint (25% i think it is), but i think its carbon film, not metal film...,.. when im in the city (tall buildings), it struggles to get 4...
When I had it on the back shelf it never lost signal, and now that I have on the dash it losses signal most of the time...wtf???
I have a Xenarc 700tsv in use with a BU-353 , i have no issues with it at this point in time.
i can't get this thing to get a consistent signal. it always loses signal right when i bring it into the car.
if i it inside the car... and just stick it outside on top of the roof... it will instantly grab 10 sats. but when i bring it in... it'll lose them all within a few seconds. i've tried mounting it everywhere... front/back windshield.. all the same. though on the rear one it's a LITTLE better... but still loses signal.
what do i do?!?!
