Neep some noob help that i cant find anywhere.

i have download mapmonkey and freedrive and it seems that both of these freewares are only for europe, correct. i want to add a gps program to my carpc, which uses road runner, but dont know what to get. right now i leading towards ms s&t 2006 w/ locator. i just read somewhere that this program is considered more of a mapping software than a gps system. can anyone help me here. also if those freewares work in the U.S. are they compareable to ms s&t or iguidence

To the best of my knowledge there is no freeware nav software and M & FD are frontends for Destinator 3 which is worldwide.

I don't know about frontends (I'm a laptop user) but unless you're going to have dozens of stops on a regular basis, there's always something better than microsoft. While the 2006 version is actually capable of doing more than than drawing a line on the map, it's still not up to snuff. Figure out what you want to do with it, and look around at the various packages.

Why not buy destinator maps and use mapnokey. It works well.

I could swear I replied to this before. Perhaps a double-post?
    I don't know.

Destinator maps for the US aren't as good as other packages, from what I've heard. iGuidance has the better mapset for the US.

EDIT: I KNEW I replied to you on this topic previously.... You need to quit with the multiple posts, man. POsting one time in the appropriate forum will get you answers.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.
