You'd need an antenna (aerial) tuned to receive GPS signals.

Have you looked in the FAQ yet?

You either need to have an antena connector on the mouse or be willing to do some hardware hacking. Once you have the conenctor either exposed or hacked in go pickup a GPS antena on ebay. You may also want to consider installing the USB mouse outside in an enclosure.

What kind of GPS mouse do you have? Chances are that its going to be hard to hack it to use an external antenna.

Some have had decent results by putting a magnet under the receiver.
