Hey.. new to forum.. but long time reader...
Anyways.. I have the street atlas + GPS by delorme.. as you know the street atlas isnt really TOUCH SCREEN friendly due to small font.. I've read post bout map monkey etcc... but was wondering if i can use same GPS? I've tried to use street n trips, but that did not work. Question... Anyone using the delrome GPS with a different software? Thanks in advance.

Noob Question: Can you use different mapping software with a DeLorme GPS unit?
new earthmate usb to serial app
new earthmate usb to serial app
delorme software replacement?
Earthmate LT-20 w/ mapmonkey and destinator
This ought to be enough for starters. I searched for "delorme serial" and found 138 threads.![]()

to answer my own question... for those who might need to know the answer too... Just gotta go to delormes webpage and download the SERIAL EMULATOR. This "should" get you NEMA compliant so that it "will" work with most gps software.

Yup.. looking for a software still to test it out.. should work.
Not to be harsh, but the reason there are so many search results is 100 more people like you. They all ask a similiar question and didn't search nearly hard enough for the answer so they all started a new thread. Maybe we ought to get the mods to delete the redundant threads once the n00bs get pointed in the right direction.Originally Posted by dafook
Naw, why make them work harder.

But seriously folks, a lot of them get unanswered cause we're getting tired of answering the same question over and over. MP3Car has a FAQ Emporium that pretty much covers anything and everything including advanced searches throughout the board. Please learn keyword searching and when you have a specific question not addressed elswhere (NOT LIKELY) then post. I've found that if you can find a thread that's close and ask someone whose posted in that thread, they're usually quite helpful.
Good Luck

I ran through those..and my answer wasn't even answered.. most of the post are a variation of my question... so it wasn't really a noob question.
Yes it was a noob question, and that information is in several threads I've read. I needed the same information over a year ago, I found the threads & got my quesions answered. I guess you need to hone your searching skills a bit more.
