    Delorme LT-20

Do not buy this POS GPS reciever. Just came back from a trip and this thing is the most unreliable POS I have seen. Granted I havent had anything else but Just when I needed it the most it loses signal. Right before I would need to turn it would lose Sats and then I would be like WTF!. Luckily I had a trusty old fashion paper map. I need the most reliable dash mount antenna thats out there. I hear the Sirf star iii sp? Is pretty good. Please advise. Also I drive a 2005 nissan maxima. My guidance was Iguidance 2.1.3 and also delorme 2006. Delorme 2006 sucks as well. Advice is appreciated

Thanks for your advise. Are you sure the placement of the antenna is ok, try moving it around. Seems unlike that DeLorme would sell a unit that does not work. Maybe try different locations???

I have had no issues with the signal quality using my LT-20. I have my unit located on the reardeck. Where is yours located?

    edit
I have 20% tints covering my rear glass.

The LT-20 is NOT the same as the old Earthmate USB (now sale as pro).
And I have to agree that it is SUCK compare to the "pro".

I agree. I have one of these in one of my vehicles, a Rikaline 6010 in the other, and the Rikaline ****es on this hunk of crap. And the Delorme software still shows street/highway names that are at least ten years out of date for my area.

I have tried different areas on the front window. My rear is metalized tint So I cant put it on the rear shelf. I works great sitting still but start moving then its a whole different story. Takes too long to acquire new sats.

wow, can't believe i'm hearing this. i've had this receiver w/iguidance work flawlessly for over 6 months now.

took it from VA ---> PA and back with no problems (even through PA's mountains)

i have mine on my rear deck w/35% tint.

only problem i have is sometimes when boot from being on hibernate, the computer doesn't recognize the receiver, i simply have to restart, and the problem is fixed.

to op: must be something wrong with your setup. hopefully you figure it out.
