Oh, something else i neglected to mention, i've only tested this in england, so people in other hemispheres, please tell me if it does... anything :P
Hi all... first post here, been a reader for a while though..
Some time ago a freind of mine asked me to make him some way of doing a top speed run and recording it, so i made him a simple app.. (used MapMonkey and embedded it).. since then i ahve (attempted) to improve on it...
This isnt the latest release, and i dont know what bugs are in it, i cant remember (been a while since i've looked), but i'll give you all a screeny, a description and a link to download it...
i BELIEVE all the known bugs were squashed out in the version but i may be wrong, there may be a problem with the live drawing of the acceleration graph, and also a problem if you set a bad GPS reciever (cant be sure though without checking myself)
anyway, download link for version 2.1.2 here
The test data used in that screenshot was provided by my friend who tested it, i've also tested it, i know GPS lags by about a second when it comes to the current speed, but its the best solution i can come up with that doesnt require integration with the cars ECU etc.
Comments please...

It works as intended also my part of the world ;-)
Thats some acceleration you got there :O
how accurate did you find it... also... it exports a BPL, a BPS, and a BPA file, the BPS and BPA files are simply comma separated values you can import them into a spreadsheet like excel if you want a more accurate graph, or a graph with a scale.. or to work out a rouch 0-60 time... wont be that accurate, but hey, better than paying a fortune for a system

ah wait, you didnt accelerate that much, you cheat, KPH, use a proper mesurement![]()

Good work on the app.
Sorry but i have no grasp of how fast a KPH is, only MPH... i dislike agreeing with america, but imperial > metric :POriginally Posted by LiquidKernel
And ta.. just need to get some people to test the thing :>
No more interest ?
I'd have thought this kinda software would appeal to the speed junkies out there :P
ah well, can forgive a man for trying :P
if any of you do find any bugs, please let me know, i've found one myself since putting this on here.. if you click MPH when you're already in MPH, it errors, havent looked into why yet, busy working on my CarPC software.
Thanks to those who have tried it![]()
man ,really nice for usedoes it works on kph ? i hope because here in europe, we don't se a MPH
