    HOLUX GPSlim 236

    I would like to know if i need the special usb cable to go from the gps unit to the comptuer>?? Why cant i just use a normal one..... i dont want to spend another $30 or get some bluetooth adapter for my laptop.....

    A "regular" USB cable will only charge your GPSlim 236 when connected to your computer, but it will not let you use the receiver as a "GPS mouse". For direct cable connection you indeed need the optional USB adapter cable.

    Seems i'm reviving a lot of threads lately ....

    Anybody figured out how to make one of these cables. I'd rather not spend more money on my already over budget carputer ... and i'm a sucker for home made cables :-)
