    GPS Newbie

I am wanting to know what frontend will load the NAV software instead of the NAV software opening a new window (if media engine dosent)? Second I am looking for opinions of NAV software and how you feel about what it. The big features I am looking for are 1) clear on a 7" wide screen touchscreen (meaning buttons are easily pushed and text is easy to read) 2) I am wanting one that will tell me when a turn is approaching (and would be really nice if it turned down my music when it talked to me), also i want it to figure out my next best path if I missed a turn......... I would have searched for this but it seems everytime I look at a post someone is just burning on the person who asked the question and telling them to search.....You cant figure anything out if all but ONE post says search...Its like finding a needle in a hay stack. I will be very appreciative to who ever helps me out with my questions

    Then Read.

Also a list of front ends

And you're talking about 'embedding' the GPS software, which I'm pretty sure many, if not most or all, do.

Sounds like you may want something like RoadRunner (frontend) with freedrive or iGuidance/skinbedder. I would browse the roadrunner sub forums to get a better idea.

I have been doing my best reading up on all of this but never really have enough time to sit down and read EVERYTHING. I tried to install Road Runner and it turned out to be a crap shoot. I think I have decided to go with Media Engine (only b/c it was the eariest to install) and then purchase iGuidance. Would this be an easy task to do or am I in for another crap shoot
