    BU353 long acquisition times

My BU-353 seems to take up to 5 minutes to get a lock... it sees some satellites in less than a minute, but they are all red with no lock... once it finds them it works fine, albeit off by about 10 meters which has caused me to miss some turns before.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Also, if you're using hibernation, do a full reboot so the GPS will do a cold restart, which will lock faster.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

I found that if you mounted the gps reciever in the car, by placing a metal plate under the reciever, allowing it to magnetize to it. Will allow the unit to lock faster and stronger. I was starting to have the same issue with my BU355. Can't guarantee this method, but so far it's been working for me.
