there's also some info on the upgrade costs for those of you who already have it, looks like $79.
    Disregard, found some info.

Looks pretty, bud damn, $79 for upgrade?? I paid 99 for the entire software, at the MAX it should be like $50 bucks... i think the norm companies charge was 50... Anyways, some nice changes, but from what I can see, it lacks a search function. That's all I want, a search. I'm on the road and I want Taco Bell, let me type in Taco Bell and have it route me to the closest one... easy. Don't make me have to drill down to destination/poi/food/mexican/scroll to T.

Keep Microsoft Streets & Trips installed on your hard drive for the occasional Taco Bell search ;-)

Yup, I agree with you on the search function. It (or rather the lack of "it") ****ed me off so much that I built a specific app just for that.

The OSK is a pain... I don't see why QWERTY couldn't have been used, unless you can change it somehow...

"The A-Z format that they are using is what has been used on the iGuidance Pocket PC version in the past. I think they are just standardizing all the versions."

"I just installed iGuidance 3 on a PDA and I see why QWERTY could be a problem there. On a PDA even in the landscape mode you could have difficulty fitting 10 keys across the screen from left to right. That's what QWERTY has in the top letter row :-(

I guess it comes down to what is more important: the convenience of the familiar QWERTY keyboard or the size of keys. Most users would likely soon complain about too small keys than about the non-QWERTY OSK."

I agree, QWERTY would be easier, but it aint that bad. In fact, the GF's Lexus OSK is the same, it is alphabetical, not QWERTY.

IGMon does qwerty with big buttons and numbers. I can see how qwerty would not work great on a PDA but is it that hard to have a different OSK for the PDA install and the Carpc one?

I guess it's for the reason in the first quote I had up there. They want it to be standard across all versions. Email Inav and ask I don't know...
