I don't think it works that way, as it's not true PS/2. It just uses the same type of mini-DIN connector.
If I'm wrong, someone corect me.
I bought this gps receiver on ebay thinking it was the usb one. Is this one that much worse then the USB? Do I just need a ps/2 to USB adapter to make it work? Sorry for the newb questions!

So what are my options?
While I can't verify that it worked, there was a guy on ebay selling a globalsat br-355, which uses the same kind of connector, he was selling it with a normal ps/2 to serial converter. He claimed it worked. If that's true, than it should be wired like a normal ps/2 connector. Now it could be that in fact that it didn't work and he was full of it, or it could be the that the holux is wired differently in the connector. However, a ps/2 to usb converter is pretty inexpensive, I'd say it worth a try. Worst come to worst, you might try contacting semsons as they carry the gr-213, maybe they can sell you usb cable attacment for it. If not, you could try globalsat, as I suspect the gr-213 and br-355 are identical, just packaged slightly different by holux and globalsat.

Life Dosn't come with a reset button, if it did you might as well turn the game off.
