    Simulate GPS

Guys, I thought I once saw a thread about a program that can simulte a GPS signal, but now I can't seem to be able to find it with searches.

I just got V3 of IG installed on the laptop while at work, but I take the subway to and from work. I have no long drives planned. I wanted to simulate some GPS data to see what it looks like, how the program tracks, and how the Routing works. Can anyone help me out?

    Thanks,
    Michael

I think even Franson GPS Gate can do that for you. (You may already have it on your laptop.)

K, GPS Gate will do what I need, but it needs to have coordinates to do it. I have none. Have any idea where I can figure out what the coordinates of a bunch of places are, such as my house, my office, my parents place, several strrets.

Does anyone perhaps have a saved log of thier GPS travels that they can send to me?

    Thanks
    Michael

Google maps will give you latitude/longitude.... It's not NMEA, though.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

DP, I can't figure out where the Lat and Lon is on google maps. I found that I could put the Lat and Lon into goodle, and it will find it, but nothing the other way.

Enter an address while in Map mode, Switch to Satellite mode, then click on "link to this page". The Lon/Lat will be in the browser's URL.

    Or... use this app:
    http://stevemorse.org/jcal/latlon.php

(don't miss the "batch mode" if you have a lot of them to do)
