Any GPS navigation program does this.
Map Point, Streets & Trips, CoPilot, iGuidance, Destinator, nRoute, etc.
You only get voice navigation prompts if you setup a destination, otherwise it just shows you on the map cruising a long...
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Not necessarily. If you're not careful, Delorme will give your current location. I don't know how it started doing it, I can't stand the voice prompts and fought to get the damned thing turned off so I wasn't annoyed by the voice.
Watch out, I have a soldering iron and a ham radio license (it's worse, it's an extra class license too!) and am not afraid to use them!

I've never used Delorme StreetAtlas, so I wouldn't know. But I can see how having it announce your location would get drive you bonkers in short order.

For what's it's worth, I use Delorme S&T 2005 and like it so far. That announcement gets me sometimes too, usually happens when I lose the GPS signal momentarily and the thing gets "lost"

    The map...BING...The map center...BING...the map center is on...BING...The map...BING

I love the "be quiet" shuts the b***ch right up, until the next turn.

    Am looking into ST2007 now.
