Good question.
I don't know if it can or not, and ultimately it would depend on a few things:
Is the receiver inside the antenna or inside teh headunit?
If it's inside the headunit, then you'd have to open the headunit to get at the receiver, voiding your warranty.
If it's in the antenna, then maybe.
What protocol does the receiver output?
If it outputs garmin-speak or NMEA, then you could possibly hack it for PC use. If it uses a proprietary protocol, you're S.O.L.
Either way, doing this would void your warranty on the AVIC unit, I'm certain. Are you willing to risk it? I wouldn't.
