    Holux BT external antenna

    I googled, around but i cant seem to find any wireless gps in a shape of external antenna. I saw a post about Holux with external antenna, but no pictures or details.

    my objection is not to make holes in my car. I found something like this http://www.wics-technology.com/throu...gpsantenna.jpg anyone tried anything like this?

    How about getting an OEM GPS module and something like the Hirschmann antenna that' int he mp3car store?
    Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

    You'd have to make a hole in your roof for that, as well.

    I also missed the title of the thread that you're looing for a bluetooth solution.
    Realistically a bluetooth GPS wouldn't transmit well (if at all) throught he car's sheetmetal. It's not designed for that sort of signal strength.

    just FYI, it is possible to run an external GPS unit without drilling a hole in your car; just run the wire out around the trunk lid. you can cut a slit in the foam seal that the trunk seals against, stick the wire in it, and then seal it back up with silicone if you're worried about it leaking. most trunk lids will have enough of a gap between it and the body panels to easily put a wire through.

    i am looking at holux stariii one.. Would you say OEM gps module is better? which one?
