Is the server hosted on your university network? I ask this cause prime travel times usually occur when those systems are down.

What are you offering your beta testors? I am/have been a beta tester for several commercial as well as open source software/hardware products. Many offer released versions for free to beta testers or free usage from 1 year to forever.

I'm not trying to be rude, just wanna know where you're coming from and where you're going?

hello, i appreciate you asked this question, it is and will remain free as it will be an open source, this is a research project not commercial. The servers for beta are dedicated servers which can later be upgraded depending on how beta goes etc.

Hm..I'd like to give this a shot now that I have an EVDO connection in the car. Now I just need to find a serial splitter that actually works (software)..hm..

It's not a "bug", but I think it might look a little nicer if you don't have an "error" image on the screen that tells you to check your email (after initial registration)

Ya your right, We have all of our messages through a code system, usually errors, never realized that but Im deffiantly going to change it.

We're going to halt on invitations for a bit till we get a few issues worked out. Thanks to a few guys testing it out we have been able to work out some small bugs. Cheeks found a bug in the software with hibernation on his carPC so we're gunna fix a couple things.

If anyone still is intrested PM me and I will send you a invitation code once the first batch of bugs is fixed

Also, if anyone currentley beta testing it is still stuck at the signup process or didnt receive a confirmation email, PM me and i will get you setup

I was just reading about one of the board members who presented GPS data to prove he wasn't speeding. One of the items they pointed out was that the data could be tampered with and altered. Would it be possible for this program to scramble the data making it impossible to alter client side? A copy that wouldn't be uploaded could also be made for client use maybe?

Being able to prove I didn't go above 65 for a 4 hour trip would come in handy
