    destinator sdk

    Hi,

Im trying to purchase the sdk for destinator, as guided by map monkey website...

the links provided appear dead, and just link to the destinator main page. I have emailed the address as it states on this page http://www.destinatortechnologies.ne...ducts/sdk.html but have not had a reply after 2 weeks!

    anyone got any ideas?

    thanks

You probably won't get an answer. The jist of the story goes that Destinator has pretty much stated they are not interested in giving the SDK to people who are not going to buy 1000+ copies of their software. If you do get the SDK form them I believe that they want you to sign an agreement with them about volume of sales, etc.

Unfortunately, you are probably on your own.

The destinator 3 SDK, which is needed for Map Monkey to work, is now discontinued. Powerloc or whatever they call themselves now are up to version 6.

Your best bet would be to give FreeDrive a try.

cheers enforcer, job done i have managed to copy the maps from a pda i have that runs destinator already, and the necessary files to get map monkey running (used free drive dll).

The maps are well out of date in Sunny Wales, dont mind purchasing maps, but do you know if they do new maps that will support the old version of destinator 3 , and will it support full uk postcodes like the tom tom does?

    Exclamation

For reference i have tried the Destinator 6 maps, which are stamped as 2005, and they are a no go, it just crashes the maps are from a pda version and are labeled as UK_IRELAND, so if anyone is thinking about buying them to test, they just lockup/crash Freedrive & map monkey...
