Night cam video with my setup here":
Edit: at 8:59:16 it's way darker, it actually starts at twilight. Saving 20Mb files, which is about 2min. Note the seamless transition between files at 8:35:50 mark (@ 54s in the youtube video). You can't notice it (I can't at least), but trust me, it's there! Best feature so far.
Not impressed with the image quality, it seems like the headlights are too powerful and overwhelms/tricks the camera, so what's beyond the headlights are too dark. Not as dark as my previous webcam though, beyond the headlights would just be pitch black.
Edit: I can play most files with WMClassic, even broken ones, after a brief error message. DVR starts recording every time, and it records for 5 min after IGN off.
Hey guys, I have some questions about a potential setup. I'm really interesting in this little device. I don't know much about it but maybe one of the experts here could point me in the right direction. I found this: http://lorexstore.lorextechnology.co...?id=2176&nav=0. Because it's 'internet ready' (and as long as I have it connected to an internet source) could I get some security camera, wire them in and install in my car, and remotely view it?
onboard shot, I would love to have one of the camaras they mount on those cars the image quality is fanstastic but probably looking at about $5000 just for the camera
Well it looks ok to me. It gets its point accross. Only thing I hate is that tail lights look white. Mine does that too unless the tail lights on the other car are LED. I guess because standard rear bulbs have the same red as the I/R on the camera it makes it white. I guess the way you placed the camera is perfect because I didnt notice any white out from oncoming cars. I put my front and rear cameras really high to avoid that. Im so scared that my side cameras will get white out because they are almost at headlight level. You sure there isnt a setting to make the image normal?
$5000.00 for a camera? You might as well get the FLIR Pathfinder camera!
