welp just like the title says, whats the best GPS software to use with roadrunner in the US? i tired map monkey but i dont know how to import map files for where i live. a little help please!

Agree with the above, try out a few before you go through trouble of integrating it fully. I use iguidance 3.0 UMPC in the car and have been very happy with it. Only downside is that it seems to me that the built POI database is a little lacking in areas, but POI's aren't really important to me. If I'm going somewhere I have the address, if not then I call 411.

Garmin Mapsource 6 has the most POIs I have seen (accurate too) but sucks for carpc.
