Shawjohn, it is not MS stuff..mind you it is a FE not just a GPS,
and another addition to all the existing Front ends out there is not that bad.

Karputer, we all know what happened back there, and RR is on its way and took its own path, i was just wondering what happened to cayote, nothing bad i hope, people don't disappear just like that unless they get married or something

We dont know what happened with Coyote we also hoped that nothing bad happened to him but after a long time trying to contact him we just had to let it go.

Maybe he got sick of the hastle and either cleared off for good, or started going under a different name

Fair enough about the GPS thing, wasn't meaning to citicise but I supose it sounded that way. The map does indeed look very similar graphically to the MS stuff about these days so I just presumed
What GPS engine does Benefon use? As we all know they won't have written their own from scratch.

there are many many GPS software around..but there are only a few Map providers.. so lots of Nav software use the same map with others.. i guess that might explain the resemblence

Benefon have written the Engine from scratch but uses Navteq maps. The screen shots show the default map skin but you can edit the map colours and appearance from within the software.

interesting, I'll try it if theirs an actual working free trial. then decide from there.

But I dont like that its a closed sourced program. I like the massive customization ability built into road runner.

Yeah but you can't customise the GPS in RR....

    yes you can

You can choose between any GPS client out there.
You can change street colors in iGuidance
you toggle between 3d and 2d Views

    and there is more.

the only thing really lacking in IGuidance is easier POI with user based integration

Yes you can and then you're stuck with whatever limitations the chosen client has.

    Nothing to do with RR.

What I say is that the "massive customization ability built into road runner" doesn't do anything for the GPS part except let you choose which client to use.
