Damn I wish I had this POI in my Nav Software

Now that I've got your attention
what software do your use for gps and what POIS do you feel are missing

    For example
    Iguidance-
-Missing businesses like starbucks and bestbuy etc
-Missing a good way to search for local food in a distance and name manner
if you search by name they come up randomly if you search by distance you cant refine your search
    - broader/more categories
-other things i cant think of at the moment

Being able to search stores by name like, Staples..WalMart stuff like that. I think it only lists them by shopping mall.

I have iGuidance and I can't search by stores (or haven't figured it out yet) and it's a real downer. I was driving around the other day looking for a Best Buy and I had to pull over, look the address up and then enter that. The worst part was that I was only about 2 blocks from the Best Buy when I pulled over to use the internet.

Yup, that's what I was talking about. What's the use if you can't search by stores.

I was just informed the other day, that as a workaround, you can TXT google (at 46645) to look up businesses and such. For example, TXT "best buy boston, ma" to 46645 and it will return:

    (1/2)Local Listings:
    Best Buy
    401 Park Dr
    Boston, 02215
    617-424-7900

    Best Buy
    14 Allstate Rd
    Dorchester, 02125
    617-989-1020

    (2/2)Best Buy
    100 Cambridgeside Pl
    Cambridge, 02141
    617-577-8866

This way you don't have to pull over to find a hotspot - you can get your addresses over SMS. FTW!

CarPC v2.5 up and running - all hardware installed, skin configured, and iG tweaked like crazy. Now for OBD-II, and voice control, and camera plugin, and... :nutz: - it never ends!
