you need to make an external_gps.skin file as well as modify the external_gps.jpg to look as you want.

Open the external_gps.skin file with notepad, and put a forward slash "/" in front of all the lines that start with a "c"

Make this:

/, C, x, y, w, h
C01,000,055,800,545

into this:

Code:

/, C, x, y, w, h
/C01,000,055,800,545

That will get rid of the map disappearing thing.

As for changing the skin, Check here and here.

That really gets rid of iG map disappearing when switching back to the screen? I thought it had to do with how IG draws the maps... I am interested in this more. Do you have a link where you found this?

I don't know why it works, but it is what I needed to do.

Ignative=true then you remove the clipping region...otherwise, not.

As for skin comment in stead of just forward slash "/", it should be forward slash and a comma as "/,"
so instead of

Code:

/, C, x, y, w, h
C01,000,055,800,545

It should be

Code:

/, C, x, y, w, h
/,C01,000,055,800,545

You see the line above the clip code? /, C, X ....

OP, look and try other skin as well.
