I have a 2008 Pontiac G8 GT which is virtually the same as a Holden VE Commodore SS. It features a Blaupunkt HU that has the HVAC controls integrated into it. It has Auxiliary inputs for both Audio and Video that I am wanting to connect to but I need some help identifying the connectors.
The main harness connection to the Blaupunkt HU:
Some of you will notice that it looks very similar to (exactly) some of the BMW connectors. One of the plugs I need fills the empty space on the right side in the pic. I think it would look the same as the 2-row 12pin portion directly across on the left side.
Backside of the plug showing it plugged into the HU, Empty portion is where I want to connect to:
Second connector I need to interface with:
What I am trying to duplicate:
The person that originally posted the pictures is an employee/owner of a stereo shop in Australia where the car is built. He will not share where the connectors are sourced from because they sell them as a harness which I understand. I would just order the harness from them but they want $80 + shipping from Australia which gets to be a little rediculous for some wire.. I have scoured the web, my Newark, Mouser, and DigiKey catalogs till I am crosseyed and come up with some possibilities but nothing for sure.
I was hoping somebody on here can help me out.
Any ideas?

I know what mp3car is about that is why I posted here. I meant was there a better subforum to post in besides "Hardware Development." Members here seem to know their way around behind the dashboard and I thought somebody may have come across these before since they are exactly the same as some BMW units. My ultimate goal is to use this A/V interface as a way to integrate a "carPC" or similar device.
Believe me when I say the Pontiac/G8 boards are about useless when it comes to any real technical knowledge
Anyway I have found possible matches from www.pelicanparts.com which is a Porsche/BMW partshouse. We'll see when they show up.
Those connectors are TYCO MQS (Micro Quadlock System) system as used by BMW & AUDI & VW.
Do a search on Ebay for MQS or quadlock.
There are sellers in Germany that just sell the connectors.
MINI COOPER S PRO
Nice! Thank you for the info. I already ordered some from Pelican. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they are the TYCO ones. If not I am only out $10.00 and now I have a definite source.![]()
