    Laptop like cooling solution

Hi, I don't have my pc installed, but I already know the heat is going to be a problem. I live in texas, with a black on black rx8, so it gets quite toasty. Since the computer will be in the trunk, it won't get as much cool a/c as I would like.

What I want to do is have a similar solution to a laptop cooler, those little pad things you put under them that suck cold air from the sides and blow it up.
However, how can i go about doing this? I have the Vroom PC case (without the cd slot, similar to the Ampie) and I want to build a little thing I can set this computer on. But How can I get airflow from the side, to be pushed up into the computer? My first thought was just a regular pc fan, but that won't suck from the side.

    Any suggestions?

I would use bigger case with bigger airflow in your situation.

Sounds like what you need is some kind of radial fan.
The Noise Control Silverado was a very popular CPU cooler some years ago, so you can probably find one somewhere.

There's also several different expansion slot coolers on the market now using radial fans.
    Here's some examples from Antec:

Yes! that is perfect. I can't believe I didn't think of that. I never use those in my builds I use like zalmans and stuff.

    Thanks for the help!

Of course you could also paint your black car white or silver or another bright color and lower the cabin temperature a lot ;-)
Here's a simple test from a national Danish newspaper where they put both a black and a silver car in the sun for 1 hours and placed a wireless temperature monitor in the shadow inside the cabin near the gear stick of both cars: http://www.fri.dk/bil/dagens-ret-stegt-bil
The starting temperature where both cars came from the shadow was 28.5 C [83.3 F], and then they drove both cars out in the sun pointing in the same dirction.
After 1 hours the temperature in the silver car was 45 C [113 F] while the temperature in the black car was 64 C [147.2 F]. So a difference of no less than 19 C [34.2 F].
Driving a white car will also improve mileage a lot and save $$ because the A/C wont have to work nearly as hard in a white car as in a black car.
