hmm... this looks a bit photoshopped... there are something that does not match up next to the white text to the left... also on top of that

What i would prefer is that you ship me the new board (just the base board) in exchange for the old one, when its available.
Sadly, that isn't going to be possible for business reasons. I can't have people returning their boards so I am left with a load of boards I can't sell. People purchased these units before there was any mention of a new version - some were simply given a "free upgrade". I am happy to refund you if you return it but you would not be able to purchase a new one from us. hopefully you can understand the business reasons behind that.

On the topic of Centrafuse bugs, I have just done a long drive using the new unit and the latest CF build everyone else is using and so far, I have only had the following bugs after extensively testing it :-
    1. While changing the master volume (not unit volume), CF crashed. Only happened once and I couldn't replicate it again.
    2. Sometimes the audio stream dissappears when resuming from hibernation.

I will get both of these fixed shortly and release another build.

    just as an update...

i am now working for a radio solutions company based in east London (wont name it on here for OBV reasons). my board stopped working, initially was turning on and off, then behaving irratically...

the engineer at my place of work was interested, he took a look at it....he was appalled by the soldering quality, identified many "dry joints" and fixed them accordingly...also noticed the audio jack is sandwiched in-between two nuts...not an overly convincing design, engineer said " id get my money back"

its now working again...but not impressed that it failed SO quickly...

i think that due to their unique construction of the old board type (IE effectively each one is a "one off") there will be some that produce problems...and these will in turn generate complaints, but equally there will be perfectly fine boards that never miss a beat leading to happy customers...

i don't see why it would be so hard to swap out said "problem" boards with the new design? people don't want refunds, they want a working solution, and a testament to that is that they were willing to spend a reasonable sum of money on something that was not proven...

or possibly instead of just "swapping them out" maybe a small upgrade charge?

also if we decided to take a refund, what would be the reason we couldn't then buy the new design?

all just seems a bit strange to me....

If it seems I'm having a "dig" i didn't intend so...just a difficult point to put across.

Well think of it from a company point of view. Everybody returns their boards and we are left with a load of old boards we can't sell.

A couple of people have contacted me about this and I do give a discount for somebody who wants a new board.

Well if we block being able return boards for a swap, people will just return boards for a refund and then purchase again. We have to stop it happening from both angles.

As I said previously, we have not really done anything wrong here. People purchased the OLD board and we simply gave some people a free upgrade...

I think a lot of camera phones take two pictures in quick succession at different exposures to get a reasonable contrast. I don't think it's been Photoshop'ed.

It is a BlackBerry Bold 9000 and has never been particularly good. That said, I didn't get the phone for its camera features!
