Thread: FM/DAB digital radio - THAT WORKS!!

Can you find out were my DAB is? According to your web portal, it was sent on the 2nd of this month and I've yet to see anything.

Our client area should show a tracking number which you can click and use on RoyalMail.com. This can also be used on the postal website of other countries as some scan it at each stage. If not, you should contact your country's postal service about it.

2 weeks in delivery. could be done way faster.

It could if I sent it DHL or similar but these cost a fortune. Royal Mail over here is the cheapest way to do it. People would complain if I charged a fortune for delivery.

and with a factory in china to make the boards it seems a bit of looong lead time to assemble 2 boards and ship.. should take no more than 30 mins for each to assemble and put in a anti-static bag. there should even be time left to put it in a envelope so it only need an address label and stamps

We got the boards assembled in bulk and shipped to the UK. We put a Venice module on and ship out. They are not sent right out of China.

I've been using the Breakway Audio Enhancer software for a while to boost the audio quality of my MP3s, DVDs etc. For those that haven't got/tried it, it's pretty awesome so check it out.

Today I figured out a hack/workaround to make it enhance the line-in audio, making my radio sound 10x clearer & bassier. See here for details...

Craig i have a Windows 7 64 bit BUG.

When i change to reverse in my vehicle the lillput monitor changes from a HDMI connection to a VGA connection as is should. When i change back to the HDMI connection all my saved stations disappear from the list. I then have to restart CF to get them to display again. I have tried both the HDMI out and the DVI out (using a HDMI to DVI adapter) on the back of the computer and no luck.

This is a brand new windows 7 64Bit installation with no other plugins installed.

Also, i have installed a copy of windows xp 32 bit to test and have found that i get the same issues whilst using the HDMI port but the problem goes away when i use the adapter and the DVI port. Therefore there must be a bug in the plugin for win 7 64bit, i will now install win 7 32 bit and see if the problem still exists.

Feature request:

Could you please add next track, previous track CF listeners (not sure of correct terminology) to the |<< >>| buttons in the ultimate DAB skin. For two reasons,

- If using a GPS plugin and its skin has the |<< >>| buttons to either skip to next or previous track, these buttons will not work whilst the radio is playing. I.e they should skip to and back to the next saved station as they do whilst your plugin is displaying.

- If you have your steering wheel controls set up so they advance to the next track these controls will not work to advance the next saved station because there is no CF next track/previous track listeners assigned to the buttons.

Anyway i hope that all makes sense

Noted and will get those out in the next build due out start to middle of January. Just FYI, it will be 3.2 support only at this stage.

my postal service knows nothing about this.

As I said, this has nothing to do with our postage company here in Australia, it's royalmail the people you used, so go and find out were it is.

Giving me the same details on here that I already have from the portal is not very useful or helpful for that matter,

It was sent weeks before xmas but if it was sent on the 2nd it should have been here, so either u didn't send it, sent it to the wrong address or it's now lost

Please follow this up ASAP

Royal Mail simply say that after 28 days, if it hasn't arrived, I can make a claim and then send a new one. They CANNOT do anything once it leaves this country. If you ring them directly, you will see what I mean. This isn't DHL, UPS, etc, it is national postal networks who work on agreements with each other.

I HAVE sent it. Other people confirm they have got it and tracking shows it has left this country...

I just sent something to France recentely via Royal Mail because they were the cheapest. Only tracked while inside the UK though. Royal Mail would track it all the way, but that was going to be £40 rather than £10 !! Couriers wanted about £30 tracked to destination in France.

I think most of those on here who are overseas would complain loudly if CB charged upwards of £30-£60 for shipping just to ensure the item was fully tracked all the way to its destination.

A compensation scheme (for the sender) is in place, but this only comes into effect 28 days after the parcel was sent (for airmail), and requires that the person who did not recieve the items signs/returns additional paperwork (which royal mail will send them), to verify that the item was not recieved. Only when the sender and reciever have stated via their signature that the parcel never turned up will the compensation be paid.

A long winded process, but where there is no tracking to destination, you can see why it is required. If it were not in place, there would be more fraudulent claims, and higher postage charges as a result.

Maybe CB should offer the full-price fully-tracked option to folk that require it - the onus is then on the customer to decide!
