Kosti unfortunately Australia Post (unlike a lot of other countries) do not take over tracking of Royal Mail International Signed For parcels once they have left Great Britain and therefore Royal Mail has no means to track either. It is a crazy set up but I am told Australia Post are looking at doing a deal with Royal Mail as others have done.

Anyone interested in trying/testing a standalone APP for the radio.
It runs on XP to Win7 and needs NET4 to be installed.
I would like to know if it works on other PC’s without a full install program.

Well finally, it's been found!!!

Dump postman delivered it to the wrong address!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My humble apology CB didn't mean to sound harsh, but unable to track it is very frustrating.

Everything was correct when you sent it, the error happened here in the post office were the postman decided to deliver to someone else.

Its not mounted and ready for testing, BTW when I looked at the board (nice work btw) i noticed some blobs of solder on the IC surfaced mounted, has the unit been tested prior to shipping as I dont want to blow it up connecting it the USB port.

Well fired it up and i must say, i'm impressed

Hats off to you CB and the team that put this together.

With my dodgy antenna I was able to find 41 DAB stations, not to shabby at all

Now with some tweaking of the standalone app, when I open the app, it toggles on/off (radio module) then I press OFF to turn it on and it works,

if it didnt need the jack and has audio over USB it would be a winner

Glad it arrived. AusPost needs pestered for adding tracking on inbound trackable shipments. The USA and a few other countries do it.

Just a quick mod to the daughterboard (Venice7 module) as i didnt like the metal screws

I tapped in a thread of the main board so the plastic spacers can be height adjusted if needed and for easy removal





now mounted in position on my chassis




Now were would the best place be to place a LED for on/off display, which is ideal for bench testing - i could look for some voltage points, but i assume some of the already made holes could be for power indication?

Hi Kosti, I don’t think the V7 module itself has a power on indicator port - as in - it has received a software CMD to switch from standby to FM or DAB. I assume that’s what you’re looking for.

BTW: Nice work in the PC construction on your online photo spread.
