I'd love to get this bug fixed as it can be a real PITA at times. I've emailed Centrafuse and requested that they support these devices directly and they have assured me that it's on their to-do list.

I'm sure Andy can fix this but I guess he's a very busy guy and if he's using RideRunner so there's very little incentive for him to do so.
I reckon if he were to charge a small fee for his work it may be worth the effort?

I'm gonna borrow a C++ book from work and see if I can learn enough to make my own plugins this winter as right now there are just too many jobs to get done around the house.

    Bugs discovered thus far:

    Att mute function
    No RDS in FM mode
    Defaults to FM on startup
I don't seem to be able to edit, delete favorites. (Not sure if it's something I've just not discovered?)
    Otherwise it's brilliant.

I've been tinkering with Ride Runner and it seems very buggy indeed with some skins not supporting venice at all and some just very poorly. Can anyone recommend a good working skin?

i take offence with that statment, Ride Runner is NOT buggy...

the defualt skin (carwings_dynamic) has Venice7 MASTER support.
since it seems very few people actually have a venice7 Master... if the skin creator doesnt have a venice, he prob wont bother making a skin for it.

I'd really like an update on if these issues are still current? I'm really interested in getting DAB+ into my CarPC (I live in Australia) but the above, plus no support in Centrafuse 3.5 yet is holding me off the purchase at the moment.

the defualt skin (carwings_dynamic) has Venice7 MASTER support.

tickertapes...the work mitch has done for this DAB module in RR far excels anything Craig has had done for Centrafuse where all I read in this thread from Centrafuse users is complaint after complaint about how it does or does not work.

As mitch says...if the initial skin developer did not have a DAB module or if the skin was released prior to the module being built, or your version of RR is old then there won't be either the built-in RR support nor the skin screens for the module.
RR has all the underlying commands to support the Craig Brass module and comes with its own skin development tools. So if you learn to use those, you should just be able to make your own DAB radio screen for the skin you like from one of the other skins which have the DAB support.
But make sure you upgrade to the latest version of RR too

(if I am incorrect about anything mitch, please step in to clarify)

What the hell's going on here? I simply gave RR a go and found that it had bugs just like CF does although different ones, I was not trying to get WW3 started.

    Just chill out

I have 2 devices right now that I'm experimenting with and at the moment I'm trying to boost sensitivity and eliminate noise. I'm just about to install my module inside a die cast metal box, and substitute the computers 5v with one derived from the cars own 12v supply using a dc-dc converter.
There does seem to be a lot of noise on my 5v rail which seems to affect the independent national stations more than the state run BBC multiplex.

Anyone know if CB's radio is capable of receiving the L Band? The V7 on slave seems to be able to but I cant get any station at all as there is no L Band in UK.
